ਗੁਰੂ ਸ਼ਾਬਦਿਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਮਾਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਸਨ।
1469-1708 ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਸ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੋਏ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ (1469-1539) ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਪਕ ਸਨ।
ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਮੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ।
Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth Sikh Guru. He ordered his followers to follow the Sikh holy Scripture Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal and final Guru.
No pictures or idols or representations of Sikh Gurus are allowed because Sikh religion opposes worshiping idols or glorifying personalities. Artist’s depictions of Gurus are frowned upon but generally tolerated if kept low key.
The current and final Sikh Guru is the Sikh holy Scripture Guru Granth Sahib. It has the status of an eternal and living Guru.
